Fear of God can keep people safe.

Listen to this article

As a Muslim, following the commandments of Allah and the ways of Rasulullah (SAW) in every aspect of life is complete worship. And this will be possible when there is fear of Allah in one’s heart. Because if there is no fear, people do not want to obey any order.

At present, the virus called Corona is teaching to some extent. It goes without saying how terrified people are today. But the one who has to fear more than this Corona, whose punishment has to be feared more, is our only owner Rabbul Alamin. If true fear of him comes into one’s heart, then he will be greatly benefited in this world and hereafter. So today we will briefly know about it in the light of Quran and Hadith, Insha Allah. God should be feared. To be a true Muslim, a person must fear Allah. Allah Ta’ala says – ‘O you who believe, fear Allah, the proper fear. And do not die without becoming Muslims’ (Surah Al-Imran, verse-102). The one who fears Allah is more dignified. God created every man and woman. And gave them dignity over each other.
But he who fears him more will be more dignified. The statement is – ‘O mankind, I have created you from a woman and a man and divided you into different races and tribes. So that you can get to know each other. The most honorable among you in the sight of Allah is the most pious among you. Surely Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware’ (Surah Huzrat, verse-13). The hadith came in Sharif – Narrated by Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RA), he said, The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was asked, O Messenger of Allah (PBUH)! Who is the best among people? He said – The best is the one who fears Allah the most” (Bukhari and Muslim). Fear of Allah is necessary to get sustenance beyond imagination. Allah is the Sustainer of all creatures. There is no creation that Allah does not provide for. And if a person fears Allah then he himself will not know from where Allah has given him sustenance. The reference is – ‘And He will provide him with sustenance from a source that he cannot imagine. And Allah is sufficient for the one who puts his trust in Allah. Allah will fulfill His purpose. Surely Allah has fixed a term for everything: (Surah Talaq, verse-3).
Hadith comes in Sharif – Narrated by Hazrat Umar Ibnul Khattab (R.A.), he said, Rasulullah (S.A.W.) said – If you were truly dependent on Allah Ta’ala, then you would be provided with sustenance in the same way as birds are provided with sustenance. They go out in the morning with an empty stomach and return in the evening with a full stomach” (Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah). Fear of Allah is necessary for speaking rightly and doing rightly. Speaking the truth is one of the demands of faith. And if you don’t do the right deeds, even if you worship all your life, you won’t get Paradise. And these two things you can do when you have fear of Allah in your heart. The instruction is – ‘O you who believe, fear Allah and speak the truth’ (Surah Ahzab, verse 70). It is further stated – ‘He will purify for you your deeds and forgive your sins.
And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, surely he has achieved a great success’ (Surah Ahzab, verse-71). If there is fear of Allah, any work becomes easy. How many problems do people face in life? But at this time, if there is fear of Allah in his heart, then even the difficult task becomes easy. The meaning is – ‘Whoever fears Allah, He makes his work easy for him. (Surah Talaq, verse-4). If there is fear of Allah, it will be possible to distinguish between the abrogation of rights. God has given man a lot of knowledge so he can judge good and bad. But the most important thing for this is to have fear of Allah. Allah Ta’ala says in the Holy Qur’an – ‘O believers, if you fear Allah, He will provide for you, remove your sins from you and forgive you. And Allah is Most Gracious’ (Surah Anfal, verse-29). He is the earnest firmness among you, Will create discerning powers and beautiful guidance through which you can distinguish between right and wrong. (Jubadut-Tafsir).
If you fear Allah, you can think about the Day of Judgment. Everything in this world will be destroyed one day.
This is the eternal truth. And one day doomsday will be organized. Where people have to give an account of their every act. And if there is fear of God in the heart of someone in this world, then he will think about the accountability of the Day of Resurrection. And he will prepare for the day. It is stated in the Holy Qur’an – ‘O you who believe, fear Allah, and everyone should consider what He has sent for tomorrow; Fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Aware of what you do’ (Surah Hashar, verse 18). Forgiveness and great reward. Since we believe in Allah without seeing Him. Fearing Him and obeying His orders. So he will forgive us and give us a great reward in the field of judgment. The statement is – ‘Surely there is forgiveness and a great reward for those who fear their Lord without seeing them. (Surah Mulk, verse-12). Allah Himself is with those who fear.
Satan is the eternal enemy of man. He always wants to make people commit sins. But at this time, if there is fear of Allah in the heart of the servant, then Allah himself helps the servant to avoid sin. It is mentioned in the Holy Qur’an – ‘Surely Allah is with those who practice piety and do good deeds’ (Surah Nahl 128). If you fear Allah, you can be a companion of the truthful. People often fall into indecisiveness to determine the truth from falsehood or to take sides. But then if he has fear of Allah in his heart then he can stand for the truth. The instruction is – ‘O you who believe, fear Allah and be with the truthful’ (Surah Tawbah, verse 119). Only those who fear Allah are successful.
Every person wants to achieve success in life. But to achieve this success, you have to obey Allah and Rasool (PBUH). And the fear of Allah should be in the heart then it will be possible to achieve success in life. Irshad is – And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, fears Allah and follows His piety, those are the righteous. (Surah Noor, verse-52). Elsewhere it says – ‘And fear Allah, that you may succeed. (Surah Baqarah, verse-189). It is further stated – ‘Therefore fear Allah as much as you can, listen to Him, obey Him and spend on your own welfare, and those who are saved from stinginess of heart, they are the successful ones. (Surah Taghabun, verse-16).
Above all, there are two reasons for fear: 1. Fear of punishment. Fear arises to avoid someone’s harm or punishment. He has the power to punish if he is not feared, so fear him to avoid his punishment. 2. Fear of love. Even if you love someone, you have to fear him, so that this love always remains. Fearing that the rope of his love will not be cut at some point. That is to fear the fear of separation.
Allah is feared for these two reasons. Firstly – Allah has the power to send someone to Hell, so the servant always fears Allah for release from Hell. Secondly, the servant first loves Allah and then starts fearing Him, so that his love continues without fading away. The real thing between the two is to be afraid of love. Everyone fears him for deliverance from hell. But there are very few people who are afraid to maintain the rope of love.
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) feared Allah at all times in his life, and that was the fear of love. Because it has been said in the world that hell is forbidden for him. Allah says, ‘Surely among the servants the scholars fear Allah’. Here also the second type of fear i.e. fear of love is mentioned. May Allah grant us all the grace to feel His true fear in our hearts. (Amen)
