Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh – In a horrifying incident that has sent shockwaves through the local community, a 23-year-old Rohingya woman, Adiya Khatun, was brutally slaughtered allegedly by her husband in a family feud within a camp in Teknaf upazila, Cox’s Bazar.
According to witnesses at the scene, a heated argument between the couple escalated, leading to a shocking act of violence. The husband, identified as Nur Kamal, is said to have attacked his wife with a sharp weapon, resulting in her tragic death.
Sayed Jubayer, the officer-in-charge of Teknaf model police station, reported that upon receiving information about the incident, law enforcement swiftly arrived at the scene. The victim’s lifeless body was transported to an NGO-operated hospital, where medical professionals confirmed her unfortunate demise.
Officials have informed that Adiya Khatun’s body has now been transferred to the morgue at Cox’s Bazar General Hospital. In response to this heartbreaking event, authorities are initiating the process of filing a legal case in connection with the murder.
As the investigation unfolds, it has come to light that the accused husband, Nur Kamal, is currently evading arrest and is considered a fugitive from justice. Law enforcement is making determined efforts to apprehend him and bring him to face the consequences of his alleged actions.
